The Universal School of Achievement (The USofA) Where Anything is Possible and Everything Matters.
Freedom of choice, the right to protect that freedom, I will terminology and goal based decision making all relate directly to the philosophy and teachings of The USofA - Universal School of Achievement.
How did The USofA - Universal School of Achievement come about?
History - The USofA concept came around in the mid 90's after first being name the World School of Achievement or WSA. Same basic concept but the name USofA so clearly relates to our good old USA - United States of America. In the United States of America we are supposed to have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness in addition to many other things that have evolved out of the concept of the land of the free.
In the early days of the World School of Achievement our main training arena was related to sports and personal development. The main area of emphasis was in baseball and softball player/group/team training. The World School of Achievement Baseball/Softball focused on personal development in addition to very specific training techniques based on the fundamentals of the baseball/softball. Private sessions, team trainings and camps and clinics designed for coaches and leagues were the main venues. The Achievers Baseball/Softball player training program became the standard and benchmark for player development.
Terminology - The use of specific terminology related to the activity and related to any personal development item a player may be working on because a cornerstone to the achievement process. As we trained players we noticed that they would do what we said but sometimes the terminology would be confusing because it would have more than one meaning. For example "Keep your eye on the ball" has a couple meanings where as "See the ball" has one meaning, specifically "See the ball". At this point we decided at the WSA we would say exactly what needed to be accomplished instead of using common terms that really did not give an exact clear picture of what the goal was. Words create pictures and pictures or visualization creates action and fixing your actions until they are perfect became the process. Say, Think, Do & Fix your plan until you can do it over and over perfectly.
Goal Setting and Goal based decision making - Once terminology became the cornerstone then goal setting using I Will terminology was an absolute must in the achievement process. Using a properly formed I Will statement that specifically outlines what the goal is and what will be done is the major key. This of course then brought about the concept of goal based decision making which is simply following your I Will statement when any decision or choice is needed. If it relates to your goal then you do it, choice made based on your goal.
Why The USofA - Universal School of Achievement?
Anything is Possible and or but Everything Matters in the land of the free - Knowing that the process of achievement is applicable to all endevours The USofA or Universal School of Achievement concept was formed. Making a plan, saying that plan, thinking that plan, doing and fixing were things that succesful people did all the time so you combine that with the most efficient technical aspects of an activity and you have guaranteed achievement ability. Many people have proved the "right" or most efficient and effective way to accomplish something from the olympics to night time infomercials. The challenge all have is duplication and or a process that guarantees achievement.
With all the above said you can see why The USofA knows that Anything is Possible but Everything Matters. Make your plan, say, think, do and fix until you get there but along the way making correct choices that are goal related is where everything matters.
Many of the terminology and teachings in today's world does not give enough merit to the individual making a choice to be whatever they desire or proclaim. Greatness and achievement is still looked at as bad and not what you should shoot for. Forced choice and decision making through taxation, penalties or fees plus the constant "we know better" mentality made it essential that The USofA get involved in education about why freedom of choice is so critical to personal development and achievement. "To Big to Fail", "The Rich need to Pay there fair share" and similar comments are so scary to all who have decided they WILL BE.
All these factors related to freedom of choice and achievement is why the name The USofA - Universal School of Achievement were chosen. The great United States of America is supposed to be the place where you have the freedom to be and or do anything you want to put your efforts and energy toward. Those who make great decisions and take the risk should reap the reward of those efforts.
To uphold our mantra that "Anything is Possible and Everything Matters " it is necessary for The USofA to promote freedom of choice and defense of that freedom. The USofA goal is for there to be a place in this world where people are free to live their lives and make goal based decisions without the interefence of others. For individuals to set goals, believe in the outcome and pursue them accordingly is human nature and must be left to individual choice not regulations and someone else who thinks they know better.
